Low Power Audio Codec GX8133 Replaces ES8133 for Smart Locks

With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology, the voice prompt function of smart locks will also become more and more intelligent and personalized. The future smart lock will use more advanced voice recognition technology, which can more accurately recognize the user‘s voice commands and achieve more natural and smooth voice interaction.

For voice interaction, the codec that supports voice wake-up, voice recognition and voice synthesis is the key to realize voice interaction of smart locks. Higher sampling rate and bit depth can provide better audio quality, and GX8133, the audio codec of Guoxin SiShen, has the functional characteristics that can well solve the needs of voice interaction of smart locks.

GX8133 has a 24-bit, 8 to 96kHz sampling frequency and can be used PIN TO PIN to replace ES8133. The GX8133 is applied to smart locks to provide excellent audio quality and ensure clear voice prompts and accurate alarm tones. For smart locks with music playback function, higher sampling rate and bit depth can bring better music playback effect.
The GX8133 has a built-in low-noise programmable filter that effectively eliminates ambient noise during recording, such as noise from electrical equipment around the smart lock and background noise. The recording path includes a fully differential input, and the Automatic Gain Control (ALC) automatically boosts the gain when the recorded sound is small, ensuring that the sound is recorded and transmitted clearly.

As smart locks are usually battery-powered, the power consumption of the audio codec also needs to be taken into account; the GX8133 supports 1.8V and 3.3V analog power supplies, and consumes 7.2mW for recording and 5.5mW for playback, making it ideal for battery-powered audio devices and portable audio applications, which can prolong the life of the smart lock‘s batteries and reduce the need for battery replacements.
