Due to the construction intensity of construction machinery, harsh conditions, machinery and equipment wear and tear, prone to failure, will affect the progress of the project, but also a great threat to the personal safety of construction personnel. A complete safety monitoring system requires the system must have a high-performance data recording unit to record the control of important parameters and site conditions.
Traditional non-volatile memories such as EPROM, EEPROM and FLASH are generally capable of saving data after power failure. However, since these memories are derived from read-only memory technology, they have the disadvantages of slow writing, limited number of writes, and high power consumption, which cannot be adapted to applications with high real-time requirements. Therefore, this paper recommends a ferroelectric memory (FRAM) with both random access memory and non-volatile storage characteristics for use in construction management systems for construction machinery.

FRAM GX85RS2MC is formed by ferroelectric process and silicon gate CMOS process technology to form a nonvolatile memory cell, and the chip does not need a battery to keep data. Compared with other non-volatile memories it has the advantages of fast read and write speeds, no waiting time, and low power consumption for write operations. The excellent performance of this memory can replace MB85RS2MT (Fujitsu) and FM25V20A (Cypress), its erase and write speed can reach up to 1 million, while the power consumption of 4.8 mA, with high reliability, fast read and write speeds, long service life advantages.
