GXSC ADC GX8684 Replaces ADS8684 for Handheld Oscilloscopes

Time:2024-09-05 Views:451
Handheld digital oscilloscope is a very wide range of electrical measurement instruments, compared with traditional analog oscilloscopes, digital oscilloscopes not only have the advantages of measuring waveforms, small size, low power consumption, ease of use, and also has a powerful signal real-time processing and analysis functions. Handheld digital oscilloscopes using signal conversion function, suitable for a variety of physical phenomena detection and research. Digital oscilloscope through the ADC to be measured electrical signals converted to digital signals, and then digital signal processing will be the signal over time waveform drawn on the display device.

The core performance indicators of digital oscilloscopes are mainly bandwidth: bandwidth determines the range of signal frequencies that can be detected by the oscilloscope, the higher the maximum bandwidth, the higher the maximum signal frequency that can be detected, so the 16-bit 500kSPS four-channel ADC GX8684 is very suitable for use in this program.
The GX8684 is an integrated data acquisition system with an operating throughput of 500Ksps. The chip provides integrated analog front-end circuitry for each input channel, with overvoltage protection of up to ±20V, and a 4.096V reference voltage on the chip with low temperature drift.

The GX8684 operates from a single 5V analog power supply, and each input channel on the device supports true bipolar input ranges of ±10.24V, ±5.12V, and ±2.56V, as well as unipolar input ranges of 0V to 10.24V and 0V to 5.12V; the analog front-end gain for all input ranges is precisely adjusted to ensure high DC accuracy. The selection of the GX8684 input ranges is software programmable, independent of each channel. Regardless of the selected input range, these devices provide a constant resistive input impedance of 1MΩ.
