ADCs have spectrum analyzer functions that support direct conversion, digital down conversion, and direct IQ data recording. However, more than one analog-to-digital converter is often required to reach more than a few gigahertz or to capture signals with very short durations. For example, spectrum analyzers with higher frequency capabilities may employ multiple ADCs; one ADC to convert low frequencies with another ADC, or even multiple ADCs; and collaborative frequency conversion hardware (downconverters) to convert high frequencies to intermediate frequencies that the ADC can handle.
GX2228 is an ADC chip designed for high-frequency, wide dynamic range signals for digital processing, unique ESD protection circuit design, measured ESD (HBM) > 7000V (nominal 4000V). Performance comparable to LTC2228 products, can realize seamless replacement, chip price has a certain advantage.

GX2228 features are as follows:
- 3V (2.7V~3.4V) single power supply
- Low power consumption: 243mW
- No leakage code
- Signal-to-noise ratio SNR: 71.3dB SNR
- Spurious-free dynamic range SFDR: 90dB
- Flexible input: 1Vp-p to 2Vp-p range
- 575MHz full power bandwidth sample and hold
- Integrated clock duty cycle stabilizer
- Supports shutdown and snooze modes
Spectrum analyzers can employ multiple analog-to-digital converters in the same frequency band as needed. In this case, faster but less accurate analog-to-digital converters are used to quickly capture frequency sweeps, while higher accuracy analog-to-digital converters provide signal monitoring and analysis at slower rates. In addition, multiple ADCs can be used in conjunction with interleaved sampling windows to improve the probability of interception.
