In the measurement of electrical energy, data collection results from the power grid on the accuracy of its impact plays a crucial role, and this is the biggest impact of the analog signal into a digital signal analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and often the technical parameters and indicators of the A/D chip determines the entire data collection system performance indicators.
ADC GX1258 (compatible with ADS1258) is a 16-channel, low-noise, 24-bit ADC capable of stably acquiring data at 1.8k to 23.7k SPS under a single conversion. It has a built-in flexible input multiplexer to accept a combination of 8 differential inputs or 16 single-ended inputs, which can be used with the corresponding switchable PGA module.

ADCs for measuring power quality must have sufficient dynamic range to meet the highest amplitude of the signal while maintaining enough bits to obtain the required accuracy. the GX1258 (ADS1258 compatible) has a built-in programmable gain amplifier that improves the dynamic range of the circuit and allows real-time adjustment of the ADC input signal amplitude. The amplifier can be used for both single-ended or differential input applications, providing gain and common-mode voltage to the ADC input signal.
