Replacement for ADS1283/ADS1284, GX1283/GX1284 are widely used for low-speed, high-precision precision measurements

Time:2025-05-23 Views:257
In the field of high-precision precision measurement, it is often necessary to convert various physical quantities into electrical signals by means of sensors. However, these electrical signals are usually analog signals, and in order to be digitally processed, stored, and subsequently analyzed accurately, analog-to-digital converters are required to convert analog signals to digital signals.
For high-accuracy precision measurements, the resolution of the analog-to-digital converter is required to be high. High-resolution analog-to-digital converters are able to distinguish very small changes in analog signals, thus providing a more accurate digital output. For example, in some scientific experiments, industrial automation control, medical instruments and high-precision metrology equipment, various parameters need to be measured and monitored precisely, and the high-precision characteristics of analog-to-digital converters can ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results.
This article focuses on a 32-bit ultra-high resolution sigma-delta ADC GX1283/GX1284, which can be used as a 100% replacement for the ADS1283/ADS1284 for low-speed, high-precision precision measurement applications, and the chip offers the same advantageous performance at an advantageous price. The GX1283/GX1284 contains internally a dual-channel multiplexer, a low-noise programmable gain amplifier, a multistage modulator and digital filter combinations. The maximum sampling rate is 4kSPS and 2-channel differential inputs are supported.
