0.6Gbps to 1.5Gbps Transceiver GX1501 Compatible with TLK1501

The GX1501 is intended for use in ultra-high speed bi-directional point-to-point data transmission systems.The GX1501 supports effective serial interface speeds from 0.6Gbps to 1.5Gbps, and provides effective data bandwidth of up to 1.2Gbps. It is PIN TO PIN compatible with TI‘s TLK1501.

The GX1501 replaces the parallel transmission data structure to reduce the number of transmission paths, connection terminals, and transmit/receive terminals. Parallel data is converted to serial data by the transmitter link and transmitted over a serial channel. The serial transmission channel can be a coaxial cable, a high-speed backplane interconnect or an optical link. Also the GX1501 can convert received serial data to parallel data.
GX1501 Performance:

- Serial outputs provide programmable pre-emphasis levels
- Interface to backplane, copper cable, or optical converter
- On-chip 8-bit/10-bit encoding/decoding, K-code detection
- On-chip PLL synthesizes clock using low-speed reference frequency
- Low power consumption: 250mW
- 3V withstand voltage on parallel data input signals
- 16-bit parallel TTL-compatible data interface
- Loss-of-signal (LOS) detection
- Integrated 50Ω termination resistor on RX side
- QFP64 package
