GXSC analog-to-digital converters can replace 100% ADS1248/1220 in industrial automation scenarios

As we all know, precision analog-to-digital converters have been widely used in industrial automation core scenarios, such as PLC/DCS, RTD/TC temperature modules, analog input modules, smart transmitters and meters, high-precision temperature controllers/meters, analyzers and other industrial automation systems.

These applications require very high performance parameters of the chip, such as: low temperature drift, low noise, ultra-high precision without calibration, multiple input channels and rich self-test functions. GXSC analog-to-digital converters can replace 100% of ADS1248/1220 in the above industrial automation scenarios. And has certain application advantages, the advantages are introduced as follows:
1, 0.1% system calibration-free accuracy: the current mainstream temperature measurement boards need 0.1% accuracy, due to many manufacturers of the chip (including some international manufacturers) can not meet the initial accuracy requirements, the vast majority of manufacturers are in the production process plus the system calibration process, which will greatly increase production costs, and reduces production efficiency. GXSC‘s AFE products in the design and factory will ensure that 0.1% calibration-free accuracy, and this accuracy already contains the chip in the error of the various modules, such as the reference error, gain error, as well as misalignment error.

2, low temperature drift: industrial applications in addition to the accuracy requirements, but also need to maintain 0.3% accuracy over a wide temperature range. The device in addition to ensuring the low temperature drift of the reference, but also fully consider the temperature drift of the ADC and PGA (all gain), thus ensuring that the system temperature drift (including the reference) at 10ppm / ℃, to meet the RTD and thermocouple and other stringent application requirements.

3, excellent performance IDAC: RTD measurement often requires very high precision, and three-wire temperature measurement in industrial temperature measurement applications is the most common form, requiring two IDAC in the full temperature range highly matched, especially in the simultaneous support of three-wire and four-wire applications, IDAC mismatch will lead to the existence of a large error between the two temperature measurement methods. Many vendors on the market chip can not meet the application requirements, many customers use IDAC AFE exchange excitation, so although the problem can be solved, but will also reduce the conversion efficiency by half.GXSC optimized IDAC matching, to ensure that its room temperature with 0.1% matching degree, while having a very low temperature drift matching degree.

4、Hardware compatible and expandable for more channels: In thermocouple application, PT or NTC is often needed for cold end compensation, GXSC AFE not only ensures the compatibility with the mainstream hardware design in the market, but also expands more channels through the multiplexing function, which is convenient to realize the measurement of the cold end compensation or the monitoring of other electrical signals.

5, wide range of operating voltage: some AFEs on the market only support a maximum of 3.3V power supply, while 5.0V is often the most commonly used voltage in industrial environments, GXSC AFE devices can support a wide range of 2.7~5.5V power supply, which simplifies the customer‘s power supply design and provides a wider range of signal inputs.
