Replacement for ADS1248, GX1248 for Smart Transmitters

Time:2025-04-10 Views:170
Smart transmitters consist of a combination of sensors, signal conditioning and conversion circuits, and a microprocessor. The integrated signal conditioning and conversion circuits are capable of excitation and precision acquisition of the sensor, the internal microprocessor realizes the correction and compensation of the sensor signals, and converts the output signals into standard signals that can be accepted by controllers or measuring instruments. Intelligent transmitters often also support digital communication, in the realization of the measurement at the same time to complete the transmission of control signals.

GXSC 12/6-channel analog-to-digital converter GX1248 with high-precision, highly integrated product architecture, can be a single chip to support thermocouple temperature measurement and RTD or NTC and other cold-end compensation, but also can be used individually for any type of RTD (2-wire, 3-wire or 4-wire), the GX1248 can be compatible with the hardware and software of ADS1248, and can be a direct in-situ replacement.
GX1248 application advantages are described as follows:
1, the ADC includes many integrated features with low noise, programmable gain amplifiers, with single-cycle stabilized digital filters and internal oscillators.
2, provides a built-in low-drift voltage reference and two matched programmable excitation current sources (IDAC). The input multiplexer supports four differential inputs.
3, The multiplexer integrates sensor loss detection, thermocouple voltage bias, system monitoring, and general purpose digital V/os. The PGA provides selectable gain up to 128 V/V.
4, Up to 8/4 single-ended/differential channels with internal reference: 8 ppm/c and 0.05% accuracy, with simultaneous suppression of 50Hz and 60Hz at a 5/10/20SPS data rate
5, Analog power supply: unipolar (2.7V to 5.25V) and bipolar (±2.5V) operation, digital power supply: 2.7V to 5.25V 6. SPI interface: communicates with microcontrollers or other digital devices through the SPI interface for easy data transfer and control.
