HBS GX22088 replaces MAX22088 for power line data transmission

Time:2024-12-20 Views:434
HBS uses twisted pair or coaxial cable as the communication medium, and the control channel can have up to 64 nodes. Household appliances are interconnected through the HBS bus to form a complete home network. The protocol is mainly used for controlling electrical switch quantities and simple analog quantities. It adopts a dedicated bus and has the advantages of strong anti-interference and high safety. Due to the fact that most HBS chips are imported models, this article mainly introduces the replacement of MAX22088 with GX22088 HBS chip for power line data transmission.

GX22088 is a home bus transceiver compatible with the Home Bus System (HBS) standard, which shares a pair of twisted pair cables for data and power to reduce the need for external components. This chip eliminates the large external AC blocking inductance typically required in bus powered applications and integrates a 5V linear regulator to power system loads up to 65mA. The working temperature range of this chip is -40 ℃ to+105 ℃, and it is packaged in a 24 pin 4mmx4mm TQFN.
Supporting high data transmission rates: GX22088 supports data transmission up to 200Kbps, which can meet the high-speed data communication needs between various devices, such as data transmission between sensors and controllers, as well as information exchange between different functional modules. The chip contains dynamic cable matching resistors to improve signal integrity during high-speed transmission, as well as features such as large receiver hysteresis, adjustable receiver voltage threshold, and adjustable transmission signal slew rate.

GX22088 can provide integrated protection, and the built-in ESD protection ensures reliable communication in harsh industrial application environments. Prevent devices from being damaged by electrostatic discharge and surge current in harsh electrical environments, and improve the reliability and stability of the system.
