Multi-channel measurement technology refers to the ability to simultaneously measure the waveforms and parameters of multiple signal channels. Traditional instruments can generally only measure one signal channel, and if you need to observe multiple signal channels at the same time, you will need to use multiple instruments to make measurements, which not only increases the cost of the instrument, but also increases the complexity of the operation.
The multi-channel measurement technology can realize the function of simultaneous measurement of multiple signal channels by adding multiple channel input interfaces on the instrument. It can also improve the measurement efficiency and accuracy of the instrument.
Multi-channel measurement technology is generally realized by using a multi-channel analog-to-digital converter to achieve the simultaneous acquisition of signals. The GX1258 is a 16-channel (multiplexed), low-noise, 24-bit analog-to-digital converter capable of stably acquiring data at a channel scanning rate of 1.8k to 23.7k in channel polling mode. The GX1258 can fully meet the performance requirements of various measurement instruments, and the GX1258 is also pin-to-pin compatible with the ADS1258, which has a certain price advantage.

The GX1258 supports QFN-48 package 7mm x 7mm, operates with unipolar +5V power supply, and the range of digital voltage is allowed to be 2.7V-5.25V. Its main performance is as follows:
- Fixed channel or channel polling; Fixed channel data rate: 125kSPS
- Channel polling rate: 23.7kSPS/channel
- 16 single-ended or 8 differential inputs
- Unipolar (+5V) operation
- Low noise: 2.8μVRMS at 1.8kSPS
- 0.0003% integral nonlinearity
- DC stability (typical): 0.02 μV/°C offset drift, 0.4 ppm/°C gain drift
- Sensor break detection
- Conversion control pin
- Multiple outputs for external signal processing
- On-chip temperature, reference, detuning, gain and supply voltage readback
- 42mW power consumption; standby, sleep and shutdown modes
- 8 General Purpose Inputs and Outputs (GPIOs)
- 32.768kHz crystal oscillator or external clock
