In battery formation, accurate and fast analog-to-digital converters are critical for accurately monitoring and controlling the battery charging and discharging process. Highly accurate analog-to-digital converters provide more accurate measurements and help detect subtle changes in battery performance in time to optimize and adjust the formation process to improve battery quality and performance. At the same time, the fast conversion speed can meet the needs of real-time monitoring and control to ensure the stability and reliability of the formation process.
The low-power, low-noise, highly integrated GX1220 is ideally suited for BTS cell formation, and the GX1220 can be used as a 100% software/hardware replacement for the ADS1220.The device has many integrated features that reduce system cost and component count for applications that measure small sensor signals.

The GX1220 is capable of performing conversions at data rates up to 3710 SPS. At ≤20 SPS, digital filters provide 50Hz or 60Hz rejection for noisy industrial applications, making this analog-to-digital converter ideally suited for applications that measure small sensor signals, such as Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs), thermocouples, thermistors, and resistive bridge sensors. Features are described below:
