Replace AD7606, ADC GX7606 in Smart Grid Applications

The transformation of traditional power grid to smart grid requires power secondary equipment with stronger interface capability, control capability, protection capability, measurement capability, communication capability and data processing capability, so CPU/DSP and ADC are generally two key devices to be considered in the design of the system, and it is recommended that GXSC ADC GX7606 be used in the smart grid, which is an eight-channel, 16-bit ADC. The ADC is an eight-channel, 16-bit, 200kSPS ADC that can replace ADI‘s AD7606.

GX7606 is a synchronous sampling analog-to-digital converter, each channel has a built-in analog input clamping protection, analog filter, programmable gain amplifier. The chip also integrates a digital filter, a 3.5ppm/°C low-drift 2.5V precision reference voltage source and a 4.5V reference voltage buffer, and supports both parallel and serial interfaces.
Powered by a single 5V supply, the GX7606 offers throughput rates up to 200kSPS on all eight channels, supports ±10V and ±5V true bipolar input ranges, 1MΩ analog input impedance, and input clamping protection for voltages up to ±30V with an ESD rating of up to 8kV. For lower throughput applications, the GX7606‘s built-in oversampling modes and flexible digital filters can be used to improve noise performance.
