Electromagnetic flowmeter is mainly used for measuring water consumption on the water pipe in chemical plants. Electromagnetic flowmeter is installed on the water pipe, which has two electrodes, and the current of the electrodes is sensed by the coil, and then it is given to the ADC to be converted into AD and then given to the main control for data processing, and then it needs a low-noise ADC to be processed.
The GXSC GX1258 is a 16-channel, 24-bit ADC capable of stably acquiring data at a channel scan rate (SPS) of 1.8k to 23.7k in a single conversion. The GX1258 is used in electromagnetic flowmeters, where the electrode currents are sensed by the electrode coils on the water pipe, and then given to the GX1258 to be processed by the ADC for conversion, and then the output is given to the MCU.

GX1258 for the QFN48 package, the package is very small, there are 16 channels and 8 GPIOs with I2C interface; resolution is 24bit, the data rate up to 125kSPS, the noise is as low as 2.8μVRMS, common-mode rejection ratio of up to 100dB, can be seen in the noise and the common-mode rejection ratio indicators are very good.
GX1258 advantages:
1. Built-in programmable gain amplifier, can improve the dynamic range of the circuit, and can adjust the ADC input signal amplitude in real time
2. 2.16 channels of 24-bit, channel data rate up to 125kSPS.
3. Noise as low as 2.8μVRMS, 0.02μV/°C offset drift, 0.4ppm/°C gain drift.
4. Operating with a unipolar +5V power supply. 5. Small package size QFN48 package. 6.
In summary, the GXSC ADC GX1258 has the advantages of a large number of channels, high communication rate, low noise to 2.8μVRMS, unipolar +5V power supply operation, small package size, etc., which is a good choice for sampling circuits in electromagnetic flow meters.
