A multi-axis positioning system is a system used to precisely control and position multiple axes (or directions of motion). It typically involves multiple independent axes of motion, each of which can be independently controlled to achieve complex motion trajectories and positioning requirements. Multi-axis positioning systems are used in a wide variety of industrial, scientific and medical equipment, such as robotics, automated assembly lines, precision machining equipment, medical imaging and surgical equipment. In these applications, multi-axis positioning systems provide higher accuracy, more sophisticated motion control and better flexibility.

In multi-axis positioning systems, ADCs are typically used to receive signals from sensors or other analog sources. By converting these analog signals to digital signals, multi-axis positioning systems can more accurately acquire and process these signals for more precise positioning and control. This article recommends using the GXSC ADC GX7606 for use in this system.
The GX7606 is a 16-bit, 8-channel synchronous sampling ADC with a single 5V power supply that can handle ±10V and ±5V true bipolar input signals, while all channels can be sampled at up to a 200kSPS throughput rate, with analog input impedances of 1MΩ.
GX7606 (AD7606) Performance Features:
- Analog input channels provide 7kV ESD rating
- 87.5dB SNR, -102dBTHD
- ±1.0LSB INL, ±0.8LSB DNL
- Low power consumption: 100mW
- Standby mode: 25mW
