ADC GX7606 for electric vehicle BMS battery monitoring, can replace the AD7606

Time:2024-05-13 Views:669
Battery monitoring in BMS is mainly used for real-time acquisition of battery charging and discharging status, and the acquired data include total battery voltage, total battery current, temperature of battery measurement points in each battery box and single module battery voltage. Therefore, high-precision ADC is the core ability to realize the analog data volume acquisition of the battery while reducing the sampling resistance value and improving the measurement accuracy.

The GX7606 is a 16-bit, 8-channel synchronous sampling ADC that can be used in place of the AD7606 for electric vehicle BMS. The GX7606 integrates a digital filter, a 3.5ppm/°C low-drift 2.5V precision reference voltage source, and a 4.5V reference voltage buffer, and each channel has built-in analog input clamping protection, an analog filter, and a programmable gain amplifier. And power batteries are used in series, the real-time, fast and accurate measurement of these parameters is the basis for the normal operation of the battery management system.
GX7606 main performance parameters:
- 16-bit, 200kSPS (all channels)
- Operating temperature range -40°C to +85°C
- VDRIVE supply voltage 2.3V to 5V
- SNR 86dB (no oversampling) 95dB (64x oversampling)
- QFP-64 package 12mm x 12mm
- Compatible with ADI‘s AD7606

The GX7606 is powered by a single 5V supply, with throughput rates up to 200kSPS for all 8 channels, supports ±10V and ±5V true bipolar input ranges, 1MΩ analog input impedance, and input clamping protection for voltages up to ±30V, with an ESD rating of up to 8kV. For applications requiring lower throughput rates, the GX7606‘s built-in oversampling mode and flexible digital filters can be used to improve noise performance.
