FRAM GX85RS2MC Replaces MB85RS2MT in Industrial Robotics Market Advantages

Time:2024-05-08 Views:689
Industrial robots are a specialized class of industrial equipment that can perform manual tasks efficiently, accurately, and repeatably. In addition to being more flexible in performing tasks, industrial robots are able to collect and analyze data about themselves to improve productivity, service quality, and reliability, while reducing the total total cost of ownership.

In terms of reliability, industrial robots must be able to recover from a variety of power events, such as a power outage. Ideally, once a power failure is cleared, the robot can resume operation immediately from a stopped position, even if the system has been reset. To do this, each motor must be able to save the state of key parameters and data, including the rotation angle and position of the robot arm. Similarly, the controller needs to maintain detailed control logs of each axis‘s operating parameters, including its commanded position, encoder value, and payload.

In addition, the controller must maintain servo motor records of tracking speed, torque, motor feedback sensing (i.e., current, position, speed), and angle of motion. Reliably recording all of this data requires some form of non-volatile memory so that the data is not lost due to a power failure.

The GXSC GX85RS2MC (MB85RS2MT) is made through ferroelectric and CMOS process technologies, benchmarked against Fujitsu and Cypress. The GX85RS2MC (MB85RS2MT) has a capacity of 2M bit and uses a memory cell that can be used for up to 1,000,000 read/write operations, with a data retention of: 10 years @ 85°C (200 years @ 25°C); it has an operating ambient temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, which is in line with application scenarios for industrial-grade products.
