ADC GX9235 Compatible AD9235 in Ultrasonic Inspection

Ultrasonic non-destructive testing technology is based on the acoustic properties of the material defects displayed on the ultrasonic propagation to detect their defects. The use of this technology can measure a variety of metal, non-metallic, composite materials and other media within the cracks, pores, inclusions and other lack of road information. Because ultrasonic testing has a strong penetrating power detection sensitivity and other advantages, and therefore in the aerospace, metallurgy, shipbuilding, petrochemical, railroads and other fields play a wide role.

General use of ultrasonic non-destructive testing technology of ultrasonic flaw detector has analog and digital points, with the computer technology, microelectronics technology and digital signal processing technology development, the traditional analog ultrasonic flaw detector is gradually being advanced digital ultrasonic flaw detector replaced.

Ultrasonic echo signal is a high-frequency signal, its center frequency up to 20MHz or more, commonly used ultrasonic probe in the echo signal frequency is generally 2.5~10MHz, to make such high-frequency signal digital, the system on the analog/digital conversion circuit puts forward high requirements.
The GX9235 is a 12-bit 80/65/40/20MSps analog-to-digital converter with a low-power 3V power supply that is perfectly suited for high-frequency, wide-dynamic-range signal applications such as ultrasonic examination techniques. Its AC performance includes 70.08dB signal-to-noise ratio at 80MHz sampling and 83dB spurious-free dynamic range for signals well beyond Nyquist frequencies.

The GX9235 DC specifications include ±1LSB INL (typical), ±0.3LSB DNL (typical) and lossless code, with a very low reference noise at the input of 0.96LSBRMS. a separate output supply enables the output to drive 0.5V to 3.6V logic circuits.
