Pressure sensors measure the force applied to a unit area. The pressure sensor acts as a transducer and generates a voltage electrical signal corresponding to the force it is applying. This output voltage is typically very low in the millivolt range. In order to capture this low voltage signal, very sensitive and accurate devices must be used, and this article describes the 8/16-channel 24-bit analog-to-digital converter GX7173 that performs precision pressure sensor measurements.

GX7173 for pressure sensors, the main performance and advantages:
1, low power consumption, 8/16-channel highly integrated multiplexed analog-to-digital converter;
2, internal integration: precision analog input buffer and reference input buffer; 2.5V precision reference voltage source (3.5ppm / ° C); crosspoint multiplexer (support system diagnostics); 8 fully differential or 16 single-ended channels, clock oscillator; GPIO and GPO pins for controlling external multiplexer
3, fast and flexible output rate: 1.25SPS to 31.25kSPS.
4, Channel scan data rate: 6.21kSPS / number of channels (build-up time: 161µs).
