Eight-channel 24-bit ADC GX1278 Hardware and Software Replacement for ADS1278 Pressure Sensor Solution

Time:2025-05-21 Views:68
Pressure sensors are mainly used to measure the pressure of liquids and gases, and convert the pressure into an electrical signal output during operation. Pressure sensor components are sensitive elements and conversion devices, where the sensitive element is the part of the sensor that can directly feel or respond to the measured part, and then by the sensor will be sensitive elements feel or respond to the measured strain into an electrical signal suitable for transmission or measurement of the part, i.e. ADC.
ADC in the pressure sensor in the application of the most important parameter is the accuracy of the conversion, the converter can accurately output the digital signal the more bits, the better the performance of the converter. The program recommends the use of GXSC eight-channel 24-bit ADS1278, able to hardware and software 100% replacement of the ADS1278.
This GXSC ADC uses a high-order multi-bit Delta-sigma modulator that shapes the in-band noise and then filters it out with an on-chip digital extraction filter, resulting in very low in-band noise power. The chip is available with a choice of two on-chip digital filters: a high-bandwidth FIR filter with an effective bandwidth of 90.6% of the Nyquist bandwidth, along with an in-band ripple of less than ±0.005dB; and a low-latency SINC filter that produces a stable data output within six cycles and has better noise performance.
The ADS1278 is controlled directly using the PIN pin, eliminating the need to compile registers and making it easy for developers to use. It uses a high-order multi-bit Delta-sigma modulator that shapes the in-band noise and then filters it through an on-chip digital extraction filter, resulting in very low in-band noise power. The features are as follows:
- 8-channel synchronized sampling with data rates up to 144kSps
- High-bandwidth FIR filters and low-latency SINC filters optional
- Low power consumption: HS mode: 34.0mW/channel;
HR mode: 20.8mW/channel;
LP mode: 10.9mW/channel;
LS mode: 2.7mW/channel;
- Rail-to-Rail Input Common Mode Level
- Common mode rejection ratio: 116dB
- Analog power supply 5V; Digital power supply 1.8V
- IO power supply: 1.8V~3.3V
- SPI or frame synchronization interface, support daisy chain mode
- ESD level: HBM ±2kV, CDM ±2kV; Latch-up ±600mA
- Operating temperature range: -40°C to +85°C
