In modern information processing applications, the key performance indicators of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), such as speed, accuracy, power consumption and dynamic performance, continue to put forward higher requirements. In recent years, SAR analog-to-digital converters have been increasingly widely used for their high resolution, good linearity and low cost, making them ideal for battery-powered portable systems. In addition, the low component count improves system reliability.
The GX1302 is a 4-channel fully differential, 18-bit, SAR analog-to-digital converter with a single VDD supply. It can replace the MAX1302/MAX1300 and the LTC2372-16/LTC2372-18, and is now widely used in battery-powered devices. The chip has all the components required for a multi-channel, low-power data acquisition system built-in, including an 18-bit SAR ADC, low crosstalk 4-channel full differential multiplexer, low drift 4.096V reference and buffer, temperature sensor, selectable unipolar filter, and sequence generator for sequential continuous scanning of channels.

The GX1302‘s low power consumption is well suited for battery power requirements. it uses a single 5V supply voltage with power consumption: 8.3mW@500kSPS, 1.8μW@100SPS, and a standby current of only 23nA, which allows the device to minimize power consumption and extend battery life when operating in standby or light loads. the GX1302 uses an SPI interface to The GX1302 uses an SPI interface to read and write to the configuration registers, which is powered by a separate VIO power supply.
