In the context of growing demand for industrial high-precision control, multi-axis positioning systems are widely used in industrial automation, robotics and precision manufacturing, a high-performance ADC in the multi-axis positioning system shows the value of the key applications. This paper mainly introduces the application of domestic GX7606 to replace ADI‘s AD7606 in multi-axis positioning system.

16-bit 8-channel synchronous sampling ADC GX7606, it is built-in analog input clamping protection for each channel, analog filters, programmable gain amplifier. Digital filters, a 3.5ppm/°C low-drift 2.5V precision reference voltage source, and a 4.5V reference voltage buffer are integrated inside the chip, supporting both parallel and serial interfaces.
The GX7606 is powered by a single 5V supply, with throughput rates up to 200kSPS for all 8 channels, ±10V and ±5V true bipolar input ranges, 1MΩ analog input impedance, input clamping protection up to ±30V, and ESD ratings up to 8kV. For lower throughput applications, the GX7606‘s built-in oversampling modes and flexible digital filters can be used to improve noise performance. For applications requiring lower throughput rates, the GX7606‘s built-in oversampling mode and flexible digital filters can be used to improve noise performance.

The high accuracy and sampling rate of the GX7606 makes it possible to accurately and quickly convert analog position signals from multiple axes into digital signals. In a multi-axis positioning system, position information from multiple axes needs to be accurately captured and processed at the same time, and the GX7606‘s multi-channel simultaneous sampling capability meets this need. It ensures that the position data of different axes remain highly synchronized in time, providing a solid foundation for precise control and real-time response of the system.

In addition, the GX7606 has excellent anti-interference performance. In complex industrial environments, there are various electromagnetic interferences and noises, however, the GX7606 can effectively filter and suppress these interferences to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the collected position signals. This is critical for multi-axis positioning systems that require high accuracy and stability.
